the other shoe

So the time I talked about my job in a negative light resulted in a stern "talkin' to" from a manager, asking me to take down a posting. That was several years ago. To this day I feel that it should have been left there. At the time my name was nowhere to be found on the blog, and my employer wasn't mentioned by name.
But, someone who knew me had read it and showed it to a manager... blah blah blah blah... the post was removed.

All that to say, I'm having rather negative thoughts about something that's happened with work... and I can't write them here, and I can't say that I feel like the organization has lost it's way and sight of it's vision, but I can say that I've spent a great deal of time swearing and self-pity-crying about it.

*insert a sneer and an eye roll here*

Thankfully there are bunnies to be pet and good people in my life.

(it may be time to bring back Bunday Mondays)

Monday Bunday

Me: Hey Fynn Pants, want to go play outside? The sun is shy-ning! (singingly)

The FP: You're joking right?

Noseday Wednesday

ok, pictures ON the computer!

I came home the other night, walked down the street... and my neighbour stops me along the way - "I just met your giant bunny" she says.
I look at her strangely and she says "well, I'm helping your roomie move out, and he was hanging out in the sun porch"

guess who figured out how to open his cage?
yeah, there he is, sitting in the sun porch, gazing out the windows, deciding if it's worth chewing my boots.

laments

Skull a day is coming to a close.

I dwell on things that don't really matter for far too long.

I regret words.

I regret unsaid words.

I should have had pizza for dinner.

Maybe I should be getting more sleep.

I never bothered to unpack.

I drank two cups of coffee and an extra large tea after 7pm.

sight and sound

It's true.... not only did I HEAR a robin on a walk this week.... I SAW one too.

Spring... your turn.

I am trying to reprioritize some things in my life right now... some of them are making me grumpy. I don't like being grumpy, it's the biggest waste of time.

Day of Laze....

Other than the walk and the time I spent wandering around outside on our deck... I've been enjoying a day of laze today....
How lovely...
Well, other than the worry about Fynn Pants. He's pooped a little today, and I keep pushing the watered down food into his throat.... he seems to enjoy the parsley... I have to poke him in the mouth with it till he gets annoyed- it's like I'm tricking him into eating. And I caught him trying to eat the litter today... I wonder if that's what set him off? It's the same old newspaper pellets I've always used, mixed with the pressed pellets I've always used... I don't know why he'd start eating it randomly.... it's not even a new bag.

Little Fynn

silly bun has a bum tummy tonight... hasn't eaten since this morning (except what he's been forced this evening) and had a little bout of the runs earlier..... no poops since then... poor bunny!

**update Friday morning~ forced him (syringe) a few more Mls of water/food early this morning (sheesh... I've got more on me than in him) ... when I actually woke up and opened the curtains, he hopped up to the water bottle and had a short drink (first since before noon yesterday) and just finished off his second bunny treat and a sprig of parsley. Something is better than nothing.

Bunday Monday

better late than never.

I've been trying to get a shot of Goobery McGoobersons while he spits meds all over me... but I'm finding that all I want to do is get it in him, and get him back on the ground as quick as possible. He gave a mighty grunt and tried to thump while he was on my lap tonight, so now we're setting up special "let me sit and heap love on you" sessions, so he doesn't forget that there is some love for him deep down somewhere...deep... deep.... somewhere.

Him, beat from the fight..... Me, beat from the fight.....
(note the goo all over me... and not him)
sheesh.

bad vibes

ok, so today I was working inside the Pdot's Rec Centre, supporting some guys in their job there... also going on was the set up for a polling station which was to open at 12. the 'burg's station was to open at 9am... both times were listed on the notices sent to people... who reads the whole thing??? you scan it, find the numbers you're looking for, and that's it.
I'm thinking of writing a letter to the editor....

Mister grumpy pants was manning the outside portion of the station, "greeting" people as they came. The first arrival was at 11:15.

Arriving Man:: Hi I'm here to vote
Grumpy pants:: Well, you can't yet.
AM:: puzzled look
GP:: OBVIOUSLY you didn't bother to read past the first paragraph.
AM:: puzzled look
GP:: Because if you had, you'd see that it's 'burg that opens at 9, WE don't open till 12.
AM:: puzzled look... walks away

Mister Unhelpful (who's been wandering around asking people questions and getting people upset) wanders into the hall.
MU:: THOSE people in the gym rented it until 11.
GP:: They're still in there
MU:: They don't PLAN on leaving until 12... but they only RENTED it till 11... no one's kicking them out.. is that Pdot's general climate??? (look of disgust)

GP:: (with a triumphant look) Well, I just turned our first away.
MU:: oh really?
GP:: He couldn't be bothered to read the second paragraph, so he was early.... it's ok, he was only going to vote green party.

I don't even stifle my shocked "oh goodness".

Later I hear GP try to pull the holier-than-thou "you couldn't be bothered to read the second paragraph" thing on another guy (who arrived at 11:50) the man didn't play along, much to grumpy pants' disappointment... he was cut off with "I'm a few minutes early".
GP tried to redeem himself a few moments later with a story about the man who arrived in the last hour "irate that he couldn't vote, but hadn't bothered to actually read the papers."

I let out another "oh goodness".

monday bunday

pretty much the ultimate in bunny disapproval.
